Infoblox is the industry leader in domain name system (DNS), dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP), and Internet protocol (IP) address management, providing control and security from the core. The network control company alleviates the operational challenges that plague organizations, providing the threat intelligence and context organizations need to prioritize, protect and predict threats in their environment.

Infoblox BLOX One Threat Defense proactively detects and prevents cyberthreats. BLOX One Threat Defense bundles Infoblox DNS Firewall, InfoBlox Threat Insight, Infoblox Threat Intelligence Data Exchange (TIDE), and Infoblox Dossier. Infoblox BLOX One Threat Defense prevents data exfiltration and malware command-and-control (C&C) communications via DNS, centrally aggregates curated internal and external threat intelligence, distributes validated threat data to the customer’s security ecosystem for remediation, and enables rapid investigation to identify context and prioritize threats.

Course Overview and Objectives

This course is intended to provide an understanding of the Infoblox NIOS Software and its configuration.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Login and setup the following: User Accounts and Permissions, Grid,  DHCP, and DNS
  • Understand Grid Technology and Requirements
  • Understand the use of IPAM and its differences with tool usage
  • Configure basic level of DHCP including Ranges, Fixed Addresses and Reservations
  • Configure basic level DNS including Record Creation

Prerequisites

This course is designed for students that have a thorough understanding of networking technologies including DHCP and DNS technologies. Having brief or little experience with NIOS is a plus but not required.
